Who is Tiger Strut?

We are SO excited that you would like to join the Tiger Strut Dance Team for the 2023-2024 season! Please pay close attention to the information below to assure you are prepared to the fullest extent for your audition. Team Expectations 

• Attend rehearsals during the week and on Sundays ON TIME. (Captains hold the right to cancel and call rehearsals as necessary but will check with the team before making major decisions.)  

  • Sunday rehearsals will normally be held from 7pm - 9pm in the Brooks Dance Studio room 220 unless otherwise noted. 

  • Tuesday rehearsals will be held EVERY week from 8pm - 10pm in the Brooks Dance Studio room 220 unless otherwise noted. 

  • Please keep in mind that additional rehearsals closer than nationals may be scheduled, but the team will be notified in advance for any additional rehearsals.

• Each dancer can have two (2) unexcused absences each semester. Excused absences include things like documented illnesses, the death of a family member, etc. Dancers who are perpetually late will be given a warning and then will begin to lose unexcused absences.  

• Attend “College Classics Nationals” from April 11th - April 14th, 2024 in Orlando, Florida. 

  • We plan to leave early on the Wednesday prior to these dates to attend master classes. Please notify your professors early to accommodate this plan.

• Treat team captains, team members, and Clemson Dancers members with respect at all times.  

• Throughout the season, team members are required to pay for costumes, shoes, apparel, and competition fees as needed. As college students, we understand that funds are limited for most members of the team, so the team participates in numerous fundraising events to help minimize team member costs. 

  • To keep prices to a minimum, we will need your full commitment on projects, etc. 

• Dancers who violate these rules will be given a warning and then will begin to have privileges taken away. If the behavior continues, the dancer will have to have a meeting with the captains to discuss the situation.
