Everything you need to know about how to become the newest member of Tiger Strut
How many dancers can be on the team each season?
While the captains are given the ability to select the size of the team, there are usually around 20 girls on the team each year. Each of these dancers comes from incredibly diverse backgrounds that include: classical ballet training, high school dance teams and competitive teams.
How are team members selected?
Each prospective member will be required to fill out an audition form and attend auditions in September. Girls who have previously been on the team are not guaranteed a spot the following year, so that everyone at tryouts begins on a level playing field. Dancers will then be judged on their technique, showmanship, cooperativeness with others and ability to learn choreography.
How much does it cost to be on the team?
Throughout the season, Team members are required to pay for costumes, shoes, apparel, and competition fees as needed. As college students, we understand that funding is limited for most members of the team, so the team participates in numerous fundraising events to help minimize Team member cost.

Preparing for Auditions
Please read and complete the following forms before coming to auditions.
All audition fees will be collected prior to or the morning of auditions and can be in the form of cash, check, or Venmo.

Dancers who turn in their application more than 24 hours before the audition date will be charged $25.

Dancers who turn in their application less than 24 hours before the audition, or at the door, will be charged $30.

Dancers that choose to pay at the door will be allowed to pay in the form of cash, check, or Venmo. Dancers that do not fulfill the payment will NOT be permitted to enter the audition.
